Attending Class at The Gateway Hub

In order to reopen class at the Gateway hub we have undertaken to abide by a new set of operating procedures. Please familiarize yourself with what follows. By booking a place in class it will be assumed that you agree to follow the measures in place so that we can ensure that the hall remains a safe place to practise. To book a place in class please email jamie@taichiglasgowsouth.co.uk for availability information.

  • Anyone with Symptoms of Covid 19 must not attend and seek immediate testing.
  • Contact details for members and attendance recorded and retained for a period of 21 days for test and protect/trace purposes Where attending as a small household group, the contact details for one member – a ‘lead member’ – will be sufficient.

Arrival At Class

  • Class will start just after the hour and finish early so that we can stagger entry and exit times to prevent bottlenecks arising as people arrive or leave
  • One way entry/exit system to allow distancing to be maintained. Please enter the grounds via the Church gate and use the markings on the path and ramp approaching the hall to maintain physical distancing when waiting for entry. Wait to be admitted to allow previous hall users to exit safely. Exit the Hall down steps (ramp if necessary) and out through the car park gate.
  • Alcohol hand sanitiser will be available on Entry and exit

Inside The Hall

  • Ensure that a distance of two metres is maintained between any persons on the premises (except between members of the same household, a carer and the person assisted by the carer)
  • observe floor markings to help ensure physical distancing is maintained
  • Seating will not be used for the time being to limit possible spread of infection except when required by those suffering from injury/infirmity/ disability in which case chair will be disinfected after use. (Please let me know if you require a chair on arrival at class)
  • Wear a face mask if you wish: Masks will be optional as government guidance states “Participants are exempt from wearing face coverings whilst actively taking part in sport and leisure activities”.
  • Toilets should be used only in Emergencies folks! If you use the toilets you will be responsible for wiping them down (Seat, Taps, Door Handle) with the supplied Antibacterial wipes. Hand sanitizer will be provided outside toilets prior to and post use.
